20世纪,中国目录学在继承传统的基础上不断学习国外目录学理论与技术,在理论和实践研究方面都取得了长足的进展。21世纪的目录学将呈现出整体化、科学化和实用化的发展趋势,在书目、书目情报、网络信息组织等方面将取得进一步的成就。

Chinese bibliography has a good tradition of searching the origin and development of scholarship. In the 20th century, Chinese bibliography began to learn advanced theory and technology from abroad, and made great progresses in bibliographic research and practice. In 21 st century, Chinese bibliography will show a trend of unity and utility, and will go nearer to a normal science. It will proceed in bibliographic control, bibliographic information research and management of web information resources.
