本文通过实际语料阐述香港粤语和英语之间语码转换的形式及诱因。语码转换以句内语码转换为主。语码转换的诱因很多 ,且相当复杂 ,如词汇或语意的不对称、经济原则、英语作为教学语言带来的学习效应 ,以及作为显示社会地位的手段等。粤语和英语的语码转换已成为香港人生活的一部分 ,未受回归的影响。

This paper is a brief discussion on the phenomenon of code mixing between Hong Kong Cantonese and English, its form and reasons. Code mixing is mainly done within sentences. There are many complicated reasons for code mixing, such as no semantic match between Cantonese and English words, the principle of economy, learning effect and means to indicates one's social status. The Cantonese_English code mixing has become a way of life in Hong Kong and it is not affected by the change of sovereignty.
