大学通用英语教学转向专门用途英语教学——语言经济学视角

An analysis of the transition in College English teaching from EGP to ESP:From the perspective of economics of language

随着经济全球化和高等教育国际化的发展,社会对'专业+英语'复合型人才的需求剧增,我国大学英语教学重心逐步从通用英语向专门用途英语转移。本文通过分析大学英语人力资本产品的成本收益情况和人才市场的供需情况论证这一趋势,并就国家、高校、教师、学生如何实现大学英语教育收益最大化进行了探讨。

With the development of economic globalization and internationalization of higher education,there is a huge demand for multidisciplinary graduates integrating their knowledge in an academic discipline with their English skills.ESP is gradually becoming the focus of college English teaching in the place of EGP.Through the cost-benefit analysis of human capital goods and supply-demand model of the talent market,this paper studies how the government,universities,teachers and students should maximize the benefit of college English education.
