All ideas are products that reflect an era. Among them, Marxist philosophy and aesthetics are no exception. Since the industrial revolution in England in the 16th century, the bourgeoisie developed rapidly and social contradictions became increasingly serious. In order to change society, Marxist aesthetics emphasized the understanding of art. At the same time, it recognized the relative independence of art and emphasized the counteraction of art to human society. As a reflection of social relations, art holds the weapon of social change, and Marx and Engels directly linked art to practice, seeking to advance the process of human liberation with the power of aesthetics.
