The conveyance of emotion is not only a vital task in prose creation but also the key to touching the hearts of readers. This paper takes Howard Goldblatt’s English translation of Zhu Ziqing’s prose Spring as an example to delve into the translator’s art of lyric expression. The study indicates that translators must strive to maintain the emotional hues of the original work and accurately convey the emotional connotations to ensure that the translated text can effectively communicate the emotional impact of the original. Therefore, the translator must have a comprehensive understanding of the original work, pay special attention to its emotional expression and expression mode, and strive to accurately convey the emotion of the original work, so as to better present the charm of the prose.
