语言是一种社会行为,是人类生活的一部分。它是人们从事社会活动的基础,同时表达社会文化群体和社会机构中人与人的关系。语篇分析的任务之一就是研究人们如何在具体语境中使用语言来进行社会活动、建立社会身份,并在环境中发挥功能。语言的选择与环境或者语境有着密切的依存关系。本文将以中国社会文化背景下产生的语篇为基础,探讨语言形式的选择所受到的各种语境因素的制约。

Language can be regarded as a kind of social behavior as it has become a part of human life. It is the basis on which people participate in social activities, and it is also a demonstration that displays the interpersonal relationships in social and cultural communities and social institutions. One of the tasks for discourse analysis is to study how people conduct various social activities and establish their identities through language, and how language functions in certain situations. It seems obvious that the choice of language is closely related to the situations or context. This analysis will examine the Chinese discourses against the background of Chinese culture, and discuss the restraints in the choice of linguistic forms.
