The Web has created an incredible growth environment by making business applications easy to deploy, manage, and access. As such, it has displaced the client-server model fairly quickly. But, the Web has created a user experience that is considered quite universally as a step backward from what existed previously in the client-server world. There are many technologies emerging to fill the gap between the richness of the client-server and browse-server modes. The JavaServer faces technology and how to apply this new technology to the real application are introduced. JavaServer faces is the most recent technology, which provides developers with a rich library of user interface components, and an easy way to combine the presentation layer with the back end business logic. All of these make JavaServer is the ideal technology to develop a Web application.
