摘要
蛋白质空间结构的相似性比较是生物信息学领域的一个研究热点,近年来出现了不少蛋白质三维结构相似性比较方法.文中以蛋白质三维结构的表示为线索,对目前已有的蛋白质三维结构相似性比较的典型方法进行分类,分析并归纳了各种方法的适用性.
Protein structure similarity comparison is one of the research hotspots in modern bioinformatics. In recent years, many methods were proposed which are capable of comparing all available protein structures. Nevertheless, difficulties still exist in interpreting the results of these comparisons. In this paper, we sort all the current methods into geometry based, topology based and statistics based approaches, and investigate their merits in 3D protein structure similarity analysis. Finally, we highlight the future research directions in this field.
