Synthesis of Ultra-fine Niobium and Tantalum Powders by Hydrogen Reduction

摘要 在氩气气氛中,在950℃条件下用氢气还原相应的气态氯化物分别制取了铌和钽的超细微粉末。X射线衍射(XRD)分析结果表明,对于五氯化铌还原产物为金属铌与铌氢化物的混合物,对于五氯化钽还原产物则为金属钽;透射电子显微镜(TEM)分析显示,粉末产物颗粒细小且分布比较均匀,粉末产物的粒径在30-40 nm之间。 Ultra-fine niobium and tantalum powders were synthesized by hydrogen reduction from niobium (V) chloride and tantalum(V) chloride in argon atmosphere at 950 ℃. The results of X-ray diffraction indicated that the reduction product of niobium chloride was the mixture of niobium metal and while the reduction product of tantalum its hydride, chloride was tantalum metal. The images of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) show that the particles were fine and uniform with diameter of 30 ~ 40 nm.
