Solid-liquid state processing is anew technology which possesses many advan-tages such as reducing forming load,saving rawmaterial and energy, and providing near-netshape products with improved mechanical prop-erties. It has been received more and more signi-ficant attention both at home and abroad. Thispaper introduces some of the recent progresswith respect to the research, development andapplication of this new technology.
