Based on an analysis of the With-Structure used in the English version of the report to the 17^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and attempting to present a trial micro angle for the appreciation and study of the version from different perspectives, this paper expounds its chief funcdons：（1）highlighting key points;（2）perfecting important information;（3）simplifying the version, which have played an important role in emphasizing chief information, revealing logic relation implied in the original.
