The Chinese Overseas Merchants During the War of Resistance against Japan(1592)

明万历二十年(1592),在朝鲜大地上出现了一场悲壮、激烈的中朝人民共同抗击侵略者的战争,即著名的壬辰战争。在此次战争中,中国海商的表现颇值一提。他们于日本发动战争前冒险回国递告军情,在战争打响后联络日本的和平力量,架构中日和平通商之桥梁,为朝廷拟定正确策略和减少战争伤亡做出了贡献。

In 1592, a solemn and intense battle happened in Korea, which was named the war of resistance against Japan （1592）, which Korean and Chinese fought back the invaders together. During this War, the Chinese merchant had a good behavior. They came back motherland for imparting Ming court about the military secrets that the Japan would invade later. They connected with the pacifist in Japan, and promoted the communication between the Ming dynasty and Japan. In conclusion, the accurate stratagem made by the Ming dynasty, and the death toll in the war which had debased, should bless for the Chinese overseas merchants more or less.
