Zhang Taiyan＇s rhetoric and cultural political thought in Qiu Shu reflected his performance and self-creation of the traditional academic culture. Meanwhile, his cultural political thought influenced many others＇ cultural concepts in various ways, and his writings became a clear cultural symbol which was continuously repeated and marked an important beginning in modern academic spectrum. Though Qiu Shu could be seen as a plausible way of revolutionary writing or be attributed to a problem within the traditional academic interior, the polemic of cultural universality and specificity it brought about would be inherited as historical heritage in modern thoughts. All this could help to find the internal logic path for Chinese cultural development in a pluralistic cultural world.
