Freely Singing the Life of Sadness and Beauty——Comparative Study of "Bian Cheng" and "Snow Country"

《边城》与《雪国》不仅充满了对生命的深度思考,而且也呈现出了相似的忧郁、哀伤的感情基调,这种东方式的忧郁,呈现出悲剧的底色。文章从比较文学的角度,阐述了两部作品的异同:在悲剧内涵方面,两部作品同样都揭示了人生的无常,人性的缺失;不同点在于沈从文着眼于现实,川端康成则更注重心灵感受;在对待悲剧的态度上,沈从文体现了老庄学说中的无奈和超脱,而川端康成所体现的是人与自我心性的统一。

＂Bian Cheng＂ and ＂Snow Country＂ not only is full of thinking on life,but also showed the emotional key of a similar depression,feelings of grief.This kind of western sadness turned on a tune of tragedy,from the angle of comparative literature,the essay illustrates the differences and similarities between them;from the angle of tragedy contents,they all reveal the inconstancy of life and lack of human virtues;Sheng Congwen based on the realities while Chuanduan Kangcheng based on the inner feelings;as the attitudes towards tragedies,Sheng Congwen showed the helplessness and detachment in Laozhuang theories,while Chuanduan Kangchengb shows the unity of human and self mind.
