摘要
本文研究中国英语专业大学生写作中语块使用的发展规律,探讨了语块在不同学习阶段、不同水平学习者作文中的使用频率和分布情况,并分析语块使用与写作水平的关系。结果表明:(一)中国英语学习者写作中语块使用的数量不多;(二)高水平学习者和低水平学习者在句子层面语块的使用上无显著差异;(三)学习者作文中语块的总数能够预测作文水平,而任何一种类型的语块对作文水平都不具预测力。
This study examines the developmental pattern in the use of formulaic sequence in Chinese EFL learners' compositions. It explores the differences in the use of formulaic sequence across elementary and advanced learners,and that between higher and lower achievers. Results show that (1)use of formulaic sequences by Chinese EFL learners does not have as high a percentage as it should have;(2)there is no significant difference between higher and lower achievers in the use of sentential-level sequences,and (3)the total number of formulaic sequences has a predicting power on writing performance while none of the four categories has.
