姚鼐《今体诗钞》是一部著名的近体诗选。《今体诗钞》是选家出于教学需要,续补王士禛《古诗选》而作,也是为了彰扬其"唐宋诗并举"的诗学观念。弟子、诗友们的群体需求,选家自身高水平的创作与评注,为此选的广泛流传与经典化进程奠定了详实的基础,也张扬了姚鼐诗学、光大了桐城诗派。

Yao Nai＇s Collection of Modern Poems was a famous anthology on the regulated verse.It was compiled for teaching needs and supplement of Wang Shizhen＇s Anthology of Ancient Poetry,as well as highlight his poetic concepts on Tang and Song poetry developing simultaneously.Disciples and poetry mates groups＇ demand,editor＇s own high levels of creation and statements,all lay the solid foundation to widely popularity and the Classic Course,presented YaoNai＇s poetics,strengthened the Tongcheng Poetry School as well.
