摘要
运动估计是视频压缩编码中最重要和最耗时的环节之一。H.264作为一种高性能的编码技术,虽然编码效率明显提高,但是也带来了较大的运算量,特别是在运动估计模块中。为了减少H.264中运动估计算法的运算量,对运动估计算法中的搜索模板进行了研究,在分析EPZS算法的基础上,将非对称十字形和非对称六边形与EPZS算法相结合,提出了一种改进的EPZS算法。利用三个序列进行测试,测试结果表明,在搜索精度相似的情况下,改进后的EPZS算法搜索效率明显提高。
Motion estimation is one of the most significant and time-consuming parts in video compression encoding area. H. 264 is a high performance video encoding technology, although the coding efficiency is improved obviously, but also it brings a large amount of computation,especially in the motion estimation module. In order to reduce the computation of motion estimation algorithm in H. 264 ,it studied search templates in motion estimation algorithm. First analysed EPZS algorithm,and combined unsymmetrical cross and unsym- metrical hexagon with EPZS algorithm,proposed an improved EPZS algorithm. The test by three sequences is done,the test results show that the improved EPZS algorithm can significantly improve search efficiency, when the search accuracy is similar.
