A Rose for Emily is one of William Faulkner＇s best short stories. In the story, Faulkner adopted a ＂nonlinear narrative＂ by ＂group narrators＂ with the frequent ＂shift of scenes＂ to develop his story, creating a perfect aesthetic distance and epic-like plot. Through a reading of the story, this paper expounds his unique writing style and the historical significance and artistic charm of his writing in it.
