Ye Tang and His Na Shu Ying Qu Pu

叶堂家世业医,精于度曲,以曲家名世。与海内名家蒋士铨、王文治订正曲谱、考校唱法,后来刊刻为《纳书楹曲谱》若干卷。其"叶派唱口"被当时及后世尊为曲家正宗,于昆曲艺术影响深远。

Ye Tang, courtesy name is Guang Ping or Guang Ming. His family is doing business in medicine. Ye is famous for Qu, for he is good at writing opera. Ye, together with famous writers Jiang Shiquan and Wang Wenzhi, amended Qu Pu, checked singing methods and inscribed rolls of Na Shu Ying Qu Pu. His“Ye’s singing style”is respected as the orthodox school of Qu Jia, which influence the art of Kun opera deeply.
