北京舞蹈学院芭蕾舞专业建立于1954年,一批优秀教师为其发展付出了极大的心血,培养了一批优秀的芭蕾舞演员、教师和编导,为中国芭蕾舞的发展奠定了坚实的基础,做出了巨大的贡献。许定中教授作为中国芭蕾的老一辈教育者,从事芭蕾舞教学工作已近六十年,他用一生的实践,推动了中国芭蕾舞事业的发展。

Ballet of Beijing Dance Academy was established in 1954.
