摘要
本文透过典范更替作为一个理论框架,回顾"社会性/别"在美国和中国台湾地区作为一个研究路数的发展路径和转折,分析影响社会性/别研究的多重脉络因素。"社会性/别"的理论出现固然是一次重要的知识典范更替,使得"社会与知识的性别构成"得以被凸显,然而最近20年"社会性"(sexuality)的快速理论发展也已经形成另一次重要的知识典范更替,使得"社会与知识的性构成"成为当代的重要知识生产进路。本文使用"社会性/别"作为主要概念,一方面是要标记中国台湾在此领域的宝贵历史经验和特殊理论洞见,另一方面则是要抗拒线性思考,希望同时关注社会性别、社会性、以及其他社会因素(如阶级、族群、年龄、身体等)的复杂关连。这些关连不但是历史的,也是现实的,而任何单一排他的关注都将形成严重的盲点,甚至现实的恶果。
The present essay looks back upon the historical and theoretical trajectory of the emergence of the analytical framework of ＂gender/sexuality.＂ While the theorization of gender marks an important para- digm shift, making visible the gender formation of knowledge and society, the emergence and theorization of sexuality in the recent 15 years markes another important paradigm shift, making visible the sexual formation of knowledge and society. The present essay uses ＂gender/sexuality＂ to mark the historical experience of Tai- wan＇s social movements and its theoretical imput to the issues, as well as to insist on attending to the com- plex intersectionality of gender, sexuality, and other social elements of differentiation. Such intersectionality is not only historically evolved but also pragmatically consequential; any single and exclusive concern would result in not only tunnel vision but also serious consequences.
