[Objective] To investigate the prevalence of club drugs intention and its determinants among undergraduate students in Guangzhou, and to provide evidence for the development of anti-drug education in universities.[Methods] Self-administered questionnaires were used in a cross-sectional study to collect illicit drug intention, attitudes, social norms,self-efficacy and related information.A total of 2650 students of 10 universities were selected by stratified cluster random sampling.Univariate and multivariate unconditional logistic regression analysis were applied in data analyses.[Result] The overall prevalence of club drug use intention reached 6.8%,with 8.4% for males and 5.1% for females. The univariate analyses of the relationship between background factors and intention of club drug use shows that gender, grade, school types, family type, father's education degree and monthly life expenditure are independent factors of intention. The multivariate logistic regression model indicated that attitude, perceived social norm and self-efficacy were significantly related to intention.ORs of positive attitude, negative attitude, social norm and self-efficacy were 0.853 (0.824,0.883),1.781 (1.145,2.769),0.916 (0.905,0.948),respectively.[Conclusion] Attitude, perceived social norm and self-efficacy could increase the intention of club drugs which would increase the risk of drugs use behavior.
