摘要
朝鲜李朝书院的兴盛,与李退溪的书院思想和书院活动有直接关系。李退溪认为,当时的国学乡校已经失去了育人的本质功能而沦为科举应试的工具。兴建书院势在必行,非为举业而为尊贤讲道。通过对为己之学与为人之学、君子儒与小人儒的分析,李退溪认为书院重人格教育的尊贤讲道之风可以纠偏当时浮薄恶劣的士林风气、提高士人人格修养、美化风俗并使天下大治。
The rise of Lichao Academy in Korea had a direct relationship with Li Tuixi's academy thought and activities. In Li' s opinion, the then national county school had lost its essential function of personality education and fallen into an imperial examination tool, and hence the construction of academy be imperative, not for examination but for sage education. By analyzing learning for oneself or for others, a gentleman scholar or a villain scholar, Li Tuixi argued that the sage education atmosphere of academy could rectify the poor and floating intellectual air at that time, improve the cultivation of personality, beautify the custom and bring order to the world.
