As an important part of traditional veterinary medicine of China, traditional Tibetan veterinary medicine has contributed to the development of animal husbandry of Qinghai-Tibetan plateau in history. And the establishment of traditional Tibetan veterinary medicine database would improve the protection, development and research further. This paper aims to introduce the background, effects, features, contents and importance of the database for readers, and advance the development of traditional Tibetan veterinary medicine database.
