Reflections on Integration of “Red Classic” Culture into Ideological and Political Education of College Science and Engineering Major

“红色经典”文化是中国特色社会主义先进文化的重要组成部分,是高校思想政治教育的宝贵资源,对大学生树立正确的世界观、人生观和价值观具有重要教育作用。高校理工科专业既要重视培养大学生的应用操作能力,也不能忽视对大学生人文素质的培养。因此,科学精神和人文精神要两手抓,利用“红色经典”文化加强理工科学生的人文素养教育尤为重要。

＂Red Classic＂ culture is an important part of the advanced socialist culture with Chinese characteristics. It is a valuable resource for ideological and political education in the university, and has an important educational role for college students to establish a correct world outlook, philosophy of life and values. College science and engineering should not only develop the students＇ application operational capacity, but also can not ignore the cultivation of students＇ humanistic quality. Therefore, it should be attached equal im- portance to both the scientific spirit and the humanistic spirit, and ＂red classic＂ culture can be used to strengthen humanistic education of the science and engineering students.
