Evaluation of proximal therapeutic effect and distal social function restoration of olanzapine on schizophrenia patients

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and prognosis of olanzapine i n treatment of the s chizophrenia.Methods A randomized controlled clinical study was perfo rmed to compare the efficacy and prog nosis of olanzapine to that of c hlorp romazine.60patients with schizophrenia were divided two grou ps.32ca ses were treated with olanza pine.28cases were treated with chlo rpromazine .Results The significant effect rate and effective rate on ola nzapine group w ere 63%and 82%respectively ;which in chlorpromazine gro up were 32%and 50%.There were less side effects,and less recu rrent rate in olanzapine.C onclusion Olanzapine is one of the safe and effe ctive atypical antipsychotic fo r schizophrenia with significantly f ewer side effects.
