求学之成在持志——涂又光先生的求学经历与启示

The Success of Seeking Learning Lies in Perseverance——Mr. Tu Youguang's Learning Experiences and Its Enlightenments

求学是否有成,取决于诸多因素,其中很重要的一条在于志。涂又光先生在学问上取得的成果,可追溯到其成于持志的求学经历。涂又光求学经历了三个阶段,先是从父为师读私塾,接着为求新知进学校,最后连续四年考大学,志在进入一流大学。从他的求学经历看,志的形成与发展包含立、信、持、得四个因素。人之得志,或始于立志,或始于信志,终成于持志。涂又光在求学路上虽然历经艰难坎坷,但因为有志于学,且持志于学,而终有所成。

Will is of great importance among the factors that influence the people＇s success in seeking learning.All of Mr.Tu Youguang＇s academic achievements could be traced to his learning experience that led to success because of his perseverance.His learning experiences could be divided into three phases.Firstly,he learned Chinese traditional knowledge from his father in old-style private school;secondly,he attended new-style schools to learn new knowledge;thirdly,in order to enter the top university,he took university admission tests for four consecutive years after graduation from high school.By examining his learning experiences,it is found out that the formation and development of will relies on four factors such as determination,belief,perseverance,and achievement.While the journey to achievement may begin with either determination or belief,no one achieves their goals without perseverance.Although he went through many difficulties on the road of seeking learning,he finally achieved success because of his will and perseverance.
