摘要
记述了采自南海海域的花水母亚纲(Anthomedusae)面具水母科(Pandeidae)2个新种,即南海隔膜水母(Leuckartiara nanhaiensis Huang J Q,Xu&Guo,sp.nov.)和粗管潜水母(Merga crassocanalis Huang J Q,Xu&Huang B B,sp.nov.),模式标本保存在厦门大学海洋与地球学院.详细描述了其形态特征,并与近似种进行比较,可为今后海洋生物资源调查和环境监测提供参考.
Samples of Pandeidae(Anthomedusae)were collected from the South China Sea in May 2013.Two new species of Pandeidae,Leuckartiara nanhaiensis Huang J Q,Xu & Guo,sp.nov.and Merga crassocanalis Huang J Q,Xu & Huang B B,sp.nov.are described,and all types of the new specimens are stored in the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences,Xiamen University.The detailed characteristics of the two new species are described and compared with those of similar species.This will provide references for future investigation of marine biological resources and environmental monitoring.L.nanhaiensis Huang J Q,Xu & Guo,sp.nov.(Fig.1):The new species with conical apical projection;umbrella dome-shaped;stomach short,about half of the hight of bell cavity;gonads interradial,horseshoe-shaped with folds directed perradially;2 adradial series of gonads connected in medium transverse bridges;4 radial canals;mesenteries in media stomach;8 developed tentacles long conical and lateral depressed bulbs,with one abaxial short spur;4 interradial small cirrus tentacles with lateral depressed bulbs adnate to umbrella margin and continued upward on exumbrella,whence one short fili and 8 perradial small club-shaped tentacles;all tentacles without ocelli.The type locality was the N79 station(19°59′N,118°30′E)in the South China Sea.M.crassocanalis Huang J Q,Xu & Huang B B,sp.nov.(Fig.2):Umbrella without apical projection;exumbrella with 16 longitudinal ridges and ribs,longest in radial one and shortest in perradial one;stomach large,about 2/3 of bell cavity;mouth quadrangle with crenulated lips;gonads interradial;4 large and wide radial canals and one narrow circular canal;16 marginal tentacles with developed bulbs,largest in radial one and smallest in perradial one.The type locality was the N10 station(17°0.8′N,111°59′E)in the South China Sea.
