After the publication of The Poetry of Du Fu translated by Stephen Owen in 2016,this masterpiece has drawn wide attention.However,it is discovered that some losses have occurred in the translation at different degrees in poetic form,rhyme and rhythm,and cultural image.By comprehensively taking advantages of English language at the linguistic and aesthetic levels,he has made appropriate compensations which is of great referential significance.
