黄嘉谟译介美国文学中闽南方言的适应与选择

Adaptation and Selection of the Minnan Dialect in Huang Jiamo’s American Literature Translation

闽籍译者黄嘉谟译介美国文学是上世纪二三十年代译学界一道别样的风景线,启发了外国文学的地域传播路径。基于文本分析和个案研究方法,从语言维、文化维、交际维三个维度对黄嘉谟的“闽式”解读进行探讨。在译介美国文学的过程中,黄嘉谟综合考量句式和修辞变换、顺应时代流变、再现情感语气等因素,其译文既还原了原文的精神面貌,又充分体现了译者在美国文学译介过程中对闽南方言的认同感和归属感,适应了闽南翻译生态环境,产生了“闽韵缭绕”的翻译效果,推动了美国文学在闽南地区的传播与发展。

Huang Jiamo,a translator of Fujian origin,made a distinctive contribution to American literature translation which formed a special landscape in translation studies in the 1920s and 1930s,and inspired the regional communication routes of foreign literature.Based on the methods of text analysis and case study,the discussion on Huang Jiamo’s Minnan-style interpretation of American literature is made from the three dimensions of language,culture and communication.In the process of translating American literature,Huang comprehensively took into account the changes of sentence patterns and rhetorical devices,the trend of the time,and the representation of the original emotions and tones.His translation has both restored the spiritual outlook of the original text and fully revealed his identification and sense of belonging of the Minnan dialect in the process of translating and introducing American literature,adapting to the ecological environment of translation in southern Fujian and producing a lasting Minnan-style translation effect,thus paving the way for the communication and development of American literature in the Minnan region.
