Investigation and evaluation of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health counseling capacity

目的通过调查了解计划生育/妇产科从业人员开展性与生殖健康(SRH)综合咨询服务的能力,并评估其参加培训的效果。方法对参加SRH综合咨询能力培训的315名计划生育/妇产科从业人员进行培训前/后的问卷调查,由参加培训人员评估培训前/后的SRH综合咨询能力。结果培训前,计划生育/妇产科从业人员“倾听”能力为“好”的比例占49.8%,其他SRH综合咨询能力以“一般”为主;培训后,相关的8个能力为“好”的比例占40%以上。多因素Logistic回归分析显示本研究的培训能显著提高对象开展SRH综合咨询服务的能力,培训前能力得分及格的比例为20.3%、培训后升高到50.5%(OR=4.17,95%CI:2.77~6.28);此外,开展过咨询服务的对象,其开展SRH综合咨询服务的能力显著升高(OR=1.97,95%CI:1.24~3.13)。结论SRH综合咨询能力培训可显著提高相关从业人员的SRH综合咨询服务能力,从而更好地满足服务对象的需求。

Objective To investigate the capacity of family planning/obstetrics and gynecology staff to provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health(SRH)counseling services,and to evaluate the effectiveness of training.Methods A total of 315 family planning/obstetrics and gynecology staff participated in SRH comprehensive consulting ability training were surveyed before and after the training.The SRH comprehensive consulting capability before/after training was assessed by trainers.Results Before training,49.8%of family planning/obstetrics and gynecology staff had"good listening"ability,but other SRH comprehensive consulting capabilities are mainly"general".After training,the proportion of the relevant 8 abilities as"good"accounted for more than 40%.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the training could significantly improve the ability of SRH comprehensive consulting services,and the proportion of ability score passing before training was 20.3%and increased to 50.5%after training(OR=4.17,95%CI:2.77-6.28).In addition,the ability of comprehensive SRH consulting services was significantly increased in those who had done some consulting services(OR=1.97,95%CI:1.24-3.13).Conclusions Comprehensive SRH counseling training can significantly improve the ability of trainees to provide comprehensive SRH counseling services,so as to better meet the needs of clients.
