论《四库全书总目》对韩愈的评价与尊崇

On the Appraisal and Reverence of Han Yu in Si Ku Quan Shu Zong Mu

四库馆臣引前人评论韩愈语、将韩愈文章言论经典化、为韩愈辩护,体现了《总目》对韩愈其人其文的重视与高度评价。《总目》继承了“韩柳”并称的观点,将“韩柳”作为古文典范的代称,认为韩愈、柳宗元是文章演进的重要一支,但《总目》整体上以尊韩为主,以柳宗元等人为韩愈的应和者和追随者。出于对正统学术观念的继承和道统的维护,《总目》尊崇韩愈的倾向是明显的,这种倾向也对近现代文学史的构建产生了影响。

The Si Ku officials quoted the reviews on Han Yu,canonized Han Yu’s articles and comments,and spoke up for him,which embodied their high evaluation of the writer and his works in Zong Mu.Zong Mu inherited the view of“Han and Liu Juxtaposition”,regarded“Han and Liu”as the synonym for ancient prose examples,and believed that Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan played important roles in the evolution of prose.But on the whole,Zong Mu highly recommended Han,with Liu Zongyuan and others as his supporters and followers.For the inheritance of orthodox academic views and the protection of orthodoxy,Zong Mu showed an obvious tendency to respect Han Yu,which also had an impact on the construction of the history of modern and contemporary literature.
