A Study on the Origin of the Lacquer-Carving Technique Seen on the Lacquered Leather Armor from Milan

米兰遗址出土的漆皮甲一般认为是雕漆的早期实物,因其具有研究雕漆起源的价值,获得了广泛关注。然而,米兰漆皮甲的发现过程导致其断代模糊不清,在雕漆研究中的地位也不明确,这是米兰漆皮甲研究面临的问题。通过比较米兰漆皮甲与其他古代甲胄以及对雕漆相关的各种漆艺进行研究,米兰漆皮甲雕漆技艺存在吸收中原各种漆艺技法和西域漆艺技法而诞生的可能性。

The lacquered leather armor from Milan,generally considered an early example of carved lacquer,has attracted widespread attention due to its value in researching the origin of carved lacquer.However,the process of the armor's discovery has led to its ambiguous dating and problematic status in lacquer-carving history,which has been the challenge faced by its researchers.By comparing the Milan armor with other ancient armors and consulting studies related to lacquer carving craft,it is suggested that the Milan lacquered leather armor may have emerged through the absorption of various lacquer techniques from the Central Plains and the Western Regions.
