《东观汉记》与八家“后汉书”篇目考

A Textual Research on Dongguan Hanji and Eight Schools of Book of Later Han Dynasty

《东观汉记》与八家“后汉书”为东汉史研究之重要文献,然其书散逸,故其篇目亦不甚明。今就其残篇,辅以相关史料,可知:《东观汉记》篇目可考者为《世祖本纪》,《儒林》《外戚》《南单于》《西羌》四传,《公孙述载记》,《地理》《律历》《礼》《乐》《郊祀》《天文》《车服》《朝会》八志,《诸王》《王子》《功臣》《恩泽侯》《百官》五表;谢承《后汉书》与薛莹《后汉记》之篇目可考者,唯谢承《书》之《东夷列传》;司马彪《续汉书》除随范晔《后汉书》传世八志外,可考者为《光武十王传》《宗室四王三侯传》《孝明八王传》《章帝八王传》;华峤《汉后书》篇目可考者为《皇后纪》与《孝子传》;其余四家,除张璠《后汉纪》为编年体外,其篇目可考者为谢沈《后汉书》与袁山松《后汉书》之《律历》《礼仪》《祭祀》《天文》《五行》《郡国》《百官》《舆服》《艺文》九志。

Dongguan Hanji and the eight schools of Book of Later Han Dynasty are important documents for the study of the history of the Eastern Han Dynasty,but the books are scattered,so their titles are not very clear.Now,with the help of relevant historical materials,we can see that the titles of the book of the Dongguan Hanji can be examined as follows:Shizu Benji;the four biographies of Ru lin,Wai Qi,Nan Chanyu,Xi Qiang;Gongsun Shu Zaiji;the eight annals of Geography,Calendar,Rites,Music,Suburb-offering Sacrifice,Astronomy,Carriage and Clothing,Chaohui;the five tables of Kings,Princes,Meritorious Officials,Enzehou,and All Officials.The titles of Xie Cheng’s Book of the Later Han Dynasty and Xue Ying’s Record of the later Han Dynasty can be examined only by Xie Cheng’s the Biography of Dongyi.The titles of Sima Biao’s Continuation of Book of the Han Dynasty,in addition to the eight annals handed down along with Fan Ye’s Book of the Later Han Dynasty,can be examined as follows:the Biography of the Ten Kings of Guangwu,the Biography of the Four Kings and Three Princes of the Imperial Clan,the Biography of the Eight Kings of Xiaoming and the Biography of the Eight kings of Zhang Di.The titles of Hua Qiao’s After Han Dynasty can be examined are Huanghou Ji and the Biography of Filial Sons.Among the other four schools,except for the chronicle of the Later Han Dynasty by Zhang Fan,the nine annals of the Calendar,Etiquette,Sacrifice,Astronomy,Five Elements,Prefectures and Kingdoms,All Officials,Carriage and Clothing,and Yiwen in the Books of later Han Dynasty by Xie Shen and Yuan Shansong are available for examination.
