The study was to investigate the effect of different proportions of black soldier fly larval meal instead of fish meal on growth performance, serum biochemical indexes and meat quality of Pelteobagrus fulvidraco.A total of 800 Pelteobagrus fulvidraco about 2 g were selected and randomly divided into five groups, with four replicates in each group and 40 fish in each replicate. The Pelteobagrus fulvidraco in control group(G0 group)was fed with basic diet, and G1,G2,G3 and G4 were fed with 15%,30%,45%and 60%of black soldier fly larval meal instead of fish meal, respectively. The experimental period was 8 w.The results showed that compared with G0 group, the feed ratio of Pelteobagrus fulvidraco in G3 and G4 significantly decreased(P<0.05).Compared with G0 group, the levels of blood BUN and ALT in G3 and G4 were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the levels of GLU and TG in G3 and G4 were extremely decreased(P<0.01).The crude protein content of Pelteobagrus fulvidraco in G3 and G4 was significantly increased(P<0.05),the content of arginine and alanine in Pelteobagrus fulvidraco were extremely decreased(P<0.01),the content of histidine, valine and total taste amino acids were extremely increased(P<0.01),and the content of total non-essential amino acids in G4 was significantly increased(P<0.05).The study indicates that the use of black soldier fly larval meal instead of fish meal content of 30%is more effective of Pelteobagrus fulvidraco.
