By enumerating the“new contents”in the compulsory biology textbook for high school students published by the People's Education Press,this article derives the“significance”of the textbook,and then illustrates how the revisions in the new textbook reveal the essence of education in subtle details,thereby achieving the educational goal of cultivating outstanding innovative talents.However,these subtle aspects are easily overlooked in previous teaching.
