The Course and Experience of the Communist Party of China in Cultivating the Spirit of Youth Struggle

重视培育青年奋斗精神始终是中国共产党推进革命、建设、改革与复兴伟大实践的优良传统和政治优势。中国共产党培育青年奋斗精神总体上经历了引导青年为“争取民族独立和人民解放”而奋斗的新民主主义革命时期、号召青年为“巩固和发展人民民主政权”而奋斗的社会主义革命和建设时期、教育青年为“建设中国特色社会主义”而奋斗的改革开放和社会主义现代化建设新时期,以及激励青年为“实现中华民族伟大复兴中国梦”而奋斗的中国特色社会主义新时代四个历史时期。百余年来,中国共产党在培育青年奋斗精神方面已经积累了丰富的经验,概括起来主要表现在:坚持党的领导与思想引领的统筹保障、坚持服务大局与青年发展的同向同行、坚持理论教育与实践锻炼的良性互动、坚持制度建设与组织赋能的协同推进以及坚持方法创新与环境优化的有机结合。立足中国式现代化新征程,党的青年奋斗精神培育工作只有充分把握历史经验、坚定历史自信、增强历史主动、发挥系统合力,才能使广大青年始终成为推进强国建设与民族复兴伟业的强大奋斗力量。

Attaching importance to the cultivation of youth struggle spirit has always been the fine tradition and political advantage of the CPC in promoting the great practice of revolution,construction,reform and rejuvenation.The CPC's cultivation of youth struggle spirit has generally gone through four historical periods:the period of new democratic revolution in which young people are guided to struggle for"ational independence and people's liberation",the period of socialist revolution and construction in which young people are called upon to struggle for"consolidating and developing the people's democratic power",the new period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization in which young people are taught to struggle for"building socialism with Chinese characteristics",and the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics that inspires young people to strive for"realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation".Over the past century years,the CPC has accumulated rich experience in the cultivation of youth struggle spirit,which can be summarized as follows:adhere to the overall guarantee of the Party's leadership and ideological guidance,adhere to the same direction of serving the overall situation and youth development,adhere to the positive interaction between theoretical education and practical exercise,adhere to the coordinated promotion of institutional construction and organizational empowerment,and adhere to the organic combination of method innovation and environmental optimization.Based on the new journey of Chinese modernization,the cultivation of the CPC's youth struggle spirit can only be achieved by fully grasping the historical experience,strengthening historical self-confidence,enhancing historical initiative,and giving play to the joint efforts of the system,so that the majority of young people can always become a strong force in the struggle to promote the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation.
