中国式现代化是中国共产党领导中国人民在长期探索和实践中取得的伟大成果。邓小平的初心及其与其他革命者为新中国诞生和内地完全解放进行的艰苦卓绝的奋斗,使探索中国式现代化有了根本政治前提和制度基础。他与以毛泽东为核心的党的第一代中央领导集体团结带领党和人民探索社会主义现代化建设道路,为中国式现代化提供了宝贵经验、打下了良好基础。他作为党的第二代中央领导集体的核心,领导开辟建设有中国特色的社会主义新道路,成为中国式现代化的伟大开拓者。他阐述了开辟建设有中国特色的社会主义道路的直接历史条件,为其作出重要政治理论准备,实施了一系列“大政策”。他主持党的十三大开幕式,使建设有中国特色的社会主义道路伟大工程初步成型。他在“南方谈话”中全面论述了推进建设有中国特色的社会主义道路伟大工程中的重大政治理论战略问题。他创立了邓小平理论,奠定了中国特色社会主义理论体系的基础。

Deng Xiaoping’s original aspiration and arduous fight for the birth of new China and complete mainland liberation have provided fundamental political premise and institutional basis for its exploration.Together with the Party’s first generation of central collective leadership with Mao Zedong at the core,he led the Party and the people to explore the path of socialist modernization and provided valuable experience,theoretical preparation and material basis for it.As the core of the second generation of the central collective leadership of the Party,he blazed the path of building socialism with Chinese characteristics and became the great pioneer of Chinese path to modernization.He elaborated on direct historical conditions for blazing the path of building socialism with Chinese characteristics;made important political and theoretical preparations for it;implemented a series of“major policies”for it;chaired the opening ceremony of the 13th National Congress of the CPC and founded the great project of it initially;expounded its major political and theoretical strategic issues comprehensively in the“Southern Tour Talks”;established Deng Xiaoping Theory and laid the basis for the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
