Modeling and simulation are important parts of workflow management system(WFMS) . WFMS provides the tools of creating workflow model,with which to draw the net diagram of workflow activities so as to present workflow model visually. The acquisition of the primary critical path in net diagram is the basis of simulating and analyzing workflow. This paper presents the algorithm of acquiring the primary critical path.
