Combined with engineering example of the application of steel and wood composite core formwork in bridge construction in Hainan Haiwen expressway this formwork's constitution and installation method are analyzed. At the same time its application in the construction of concrete hollow plate beam is elaborated. Author points out that this formwork has good technological and economic benefits with its low cost and simple construction.
