Brief Discussion on the Woven Mounting Materials for Books Stored by the Qing Palace

清宫旧藏用于书籍经卷装裱的织造类材料品种、花色繁多,既可看出我国古代高超的纺织工艺和水平,又可显示出皇家对书籍经卷的重视。本文对清宫旧藏织造类书籍经卷装裱材料的品种、纺织技术、织物特色、装裱效果、花色的装饰作用等进行了系统介绍,从一侧面反映出我国古代书籍装裱材料的多样性。

The great varieties,designs and colors of the woven mounting materials for books stored by the Qing palace can show ancient China's highly skilled textile technology and the great attention that the imperial family paid to books.This study provides a systematic analysis of the materials for mounting books,textile technology,fabric features,mounting effects,and the decorative functions of its design and color.This study aims to reveal how diverse the book mounting materials were in ancient China.
