The Acceptance of Bourdieu’s Reflective Sociology Theory in Chinese Translation Studies

继“文化转向”后,翻译研究不断发展和深入,西方学者又提出“社会学转向”。社会学路径的翻译研究依托社会学理论,其中布尔迪厄(Pierre Bourdieu)的反思性社会学理论以其特别的方法论为翻译研究学者所接受并运用,给翻译研究提供了一种新思路。从二十一世纪初开始,中国学者对社会翻译学的研究崭露头角,并且主要关注和广泛应用布迪厄的反思性社会学理论,这一理论为我国翻译研究打开新视角,也带来了新启发。本文主要介绍布尔迪厄反思性社会学理论如何与翻译研究相结合以及它在中国翻译研究中的接受现状,最终指出运用该理论进行翻译研究时存在的问题分析并尽可能提出应对策略,促进这一理论资源良好发展。

After the “cultural turn”, translation studies have continued to evolve and deepen, with Western scholars proposing the “sociological turn”. The translation research within the sociological paradigm relies on sociological theories, with Pierre Bourdieu’s Reflexive Sociology Theory gaining acceptance and application among translation researchers due to its unique methodology. This theory has provided a new perspective for translation studies. Since the early 21st century, Chinese scholars have emerged in the field of socio-translation studies, primarily focusing on and widely applying Bourdieu’s reflexive sociological theory. This theory has opened new avenues for translation research in China, offering fresh insights. This article primarily explores how Bourdieu’s reflexive sociological theory intersects with translation studies and examines its current reception in Chinese translation research. It aims to highlight the integration of this theory into translation studies, shedding light on its acceptance in China. The article concludes by analyzing the challenges in applying this theory to translation research and proposing potential strategies to address these issues. The goal is to foster the robust development of this theoretical resource within the field.
