Chen Yun’s Philosophy Group:A Propeller for the Establishment of the Ideological Line of Seeking Truth from Facts

延安时期,毛泽东注重从确立理论联系实际的思想路线的角度开展理论学习,发起哲学小组开展理论研究。陈云在毛泽东的启发和引导下成立哲学小组,发动中组部干部参加以马克思主义哲学为主的理论学习。小组制定学习计划和严格的学习纪律,围绕历史唯物主义和辩证唯物主义开展扎实有效的学习,坚持学习达五年之久。这次系统的哲学学习,推动陈云确立实事求是的思想路线,在此后的民主革命和社会主义建设实践中提供了思想方法的指引,奠定其一生重视从实际出发、理论联系实际的实践底色。

During the Yan’an period,Mao Zedong gave particular attention to conducting theoretical study through establishing the ideological line of integrating theory with practice,and initiated groups of philosophy studies to carry out theoretical and philosophical research.Inspired and guided by Mao Zedong,Chen Yun initiated a philosophy study group and mobilized the cadres from the organization department of the Party’s Central Committee to join in the theoretical studies focusing on Marxist philosophy.The group,with study plans and strict discipline,conducted solid and effective study,focusing on historical materialism and dialectical materialism,which lasted for five years.This systematic philosophical study prompted Chen Yun to formulate the ideological line of seeking truth from facts,and provided guidance on thinking and methodology in the democratic revolution and socialist construction,laying the foundation for his fact-based approach to work,basing everything on actual conditions and integrating theory with practice.
