延安十三年在中国共产党百年奋斗历程中占有十分重要的地位。这一时期是党领导民族独立和人民解放事业由低潮走向高潮、实现历史性转折的时期;党把毛泽东思想写在旗帜上,实现马克思主义中国化第一次历史性飞跃;确立毛泽东领袖地位、形成第一代成熟中央领导集体,为领导革命胜利提供重要的领导基础和组织保证;实施党的建设伟大工程,完成建设大党的任务;党在陕甘宁边区局部执政,为执掌全国政权积累了成功经验;党培育出伟大的延安精神,使延安成为共产党人永恒的精神家园,延安精神成为融入到共产党人血脉中的"集体记忆"和不懈奋斗的永恒精神力量。

The Party’s 13 year in Yan’an constitutes a very important part in the history of its hundred years of struggle.It was during this period that the cause of national independence and the people’s liberation led by the Party went through a low tide to a climax,and achieved a historic turn;it was in this period that the Party wrote Mao Zedong Thought on its banner and achieved the first historic leap in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context;it was in this period that the Party established Mao Zedong’s leadership status in the Party and formed a mature first-generation leadership of the Party Central Committee,providing an important leadership foundation and organizational guarantee for the victory of the revolution;it was in this period that the Party initiated the great project of party building and completed the task of building itself into a major political party;it was in this period that the Party was in power in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border area which accumulated successful experience for its governance of the country;it was in this period that the Party developed the great Yan’an spirit,making Yan’an forever the spiritual home to the communists,and the Yan’an spirit has become a"collective memory"of all Party members and the source of strength for their unremitting struggle.
