交流—意图理论是学界影响最大的意义理论之一。达米特认为,交流—意图理论预设了语言代码理论,误解了语言与思想之间的关系;希弗认为,交流—意图理论预设了关系性的命题态度,但关系性的命题态度是不成立的。论证表明,交流—意图理论与语言代码理论没有必然的联系,关系式的命题态度仍然存在成立的可能性。从意义的生产视角和意义的解释视角来看,意义与意图之间存在着天然的联系。

Communication-intention theory is one of the most influential meaning theories.Michael Dummett believes that the communication-intention theory presupposes the language code theory,which misunderstands the relationship between language and thought.According to Stephen Schiffer,the communication-intention theory presupposes that the propositional attitude is relational,which is not reasonable.Our arguments show that there is no necessary connection between communication-intention theory and language code theory,and the relational propositional attitude is still possible.Based on our observations of the production and the interpretation of meaning,we can deduce a conclusion that there is a natural connection between meaning and intention.
