动态表情贴图情绪识别的跨文化一致性研究——基于中美被试的比较

A Study on Intercultural Difference of Affect Recognition of Motion Stickers——Based on Chinese and American Participants

摘要 以GIF格式为容器的短时无声影像内容,在移动终端、即时通信应用广泛的今天,成为俗称为"表情包"的表情贴图,在日常发生的计算机中介交流环境中发挥着传递情绪的重要作用。本研究通过实验法,根据千余名中国人被试对动态表情贴图的情绪识别结果,对比分析了跨文化背景下表情识别的异同。本文的主要发现有三点:第一,总体来看,中美被试双方对同一张动态表情贴图传达的情绪有强一致性;第二,主体对动态表情贴图的情绪识别结构具有跨文化差异,中国人情绪识别结构倾向二元化且耻辱敏感,而美国人则倾向简单化;第三,动态表情贴图情绪识别的跨文化差异建立在表情识别一致性上。GIF图的情感识别以大众传媒制造的媒介产品为基础共识,其跨文化差异反映了广泛的社会文化影响。 Short and silent gif motion-pictures,which are widely used on mo bile devices and instant messenger,play an important role in the daily scenario of emotional communication via computer-mediated communication,known as stickers or"Biao Qing Bao".The research is accomplished by experiment and more than 1,000 participants join the research,tries to find out the common and difference in recognizing emotions between people from different cultural backgrounds.The research found that,ain overall,recognition of affect dis plays is universal;brecognition of affect displays of Chinese tends to be more dualized and humiliation-sensitive,while the structure of recognition of American tends to be simpler,but the cross-cultural difference in recognition is valid on the prerequisite that recognition of affect displays is universal.In brief,recognition of affect displays of GIF is based on consensus created by media products,its cross-cultural difference reflects the influence of a macroscopical concept of social and culture,like social norm and language.
