摘要
古生物化石是解开生命起源与进化谜题的重要研究资料,化石专用CT可以对多种古生物化石内部结构进行无损、高分辨率的全方位“体检”,突破了化石标本传统研究手段的局限性,使古生物学家能够无创解剖化石,精确复原化石的三维形态。化石专用CT为脊椎动物早期演化史上若干重大问题的突破性进展提供了关键的技术支撑,已成为研究古生物化石不可或缺的高科技手段。本文主要介绍化石专用CT的诞生、应用成果,以及后续新技术的发展。
Detailed study of fossils is an essential part of efforts to unveil the secrets of the origin and evolution of life.Fossil dedicated CT(Computed Tomography),breaking through the limitations of traditional fossil specimen research methods,is an ideal non-destructive technique for investigating the internal structure of fossils,in which thousands of serial images are obtained and used to produce an accurate reconstruction of the internal morphology.Fossil dedicated CT provides key technical support for breakthroughs in several major issues in the early evolutionary history of vertebrates,and has become an indispensable high-tech tool for paleontology research.This paper mainly introduces the birth,application and the development of new technology of fossil dedicated CT.
