摘要
莎士比亚在《无事生非》中呈现出一部欢笑的“假面喜剧”:反用克劳迪奥与希罗这一老套的意大利式喜剧故事;塑造出一对渴望婚姻的“虚无主义”恋人本尼迪克与比阿特丽斯;展现弗朗西斯修道士和丑角儿道格贝里的善良、真实。莎士比亚以克劳迪奥为男主角,主要用他关联起其他副线剧情和次要人物。弗朗西斯和道格贝里凸显出人性深度。
Shakespeare presents a masked comedy of laughter in Much Ado About Nothing:appropriating the old Italian comedy story of Claudio and Hero in a reversed way;shaping Benedick and Beatrice,the nihilist lovers who desire marriage;presenting Friar Francis and clown Dogberry's kindness and authenticity.Shakespeare employs Claudio as the leading actor and correlate shim with other sub-plots and minor characters mainly.Francis and Dogberry highlight the depth of humanity.
