《果园城》版本评述

Review on the Edition of The Orchard Town

师陀于1938年创作的《果园城记》有多个版本,其中1946年初版本与1958年修改本的差别极大,其他版本均为这两个版本的再版。较之初版本,修改本的修改不仅涉及规范用词,而且通过对归来者形象以及久居者形象的改写完成了对果园城的再书写。同时,师陀有关修改《果园城记》的自述显示了其修改目的,即对旧时代愚昧落后的谴责和声讨,但这在一定程度上冲淡了小说原本具有的情感韵味,实际上背离了师陀创作《果园城记》的初衷。

There are many versions of The Orchard Town created by Shi Tuo in 1938,among which the first edition in 1946 and the revised edition in 1958 are quite different,and the other editions are reprints of these two editions.Compared with the original version,the revision of the revised version not only involves the standard terms,but also completes the rewriting of The Orchard Town by rewriting the image of returnees and long-time dwellers.In addition,Shi Tuo’s self-report of the revision of The Orchard Town shows the purpose of the revision,which is to condemn and denounce the ignorance and backwardness of the old age,but it dilutes the original emotional charm of the novel to a certain extent,and actually departs from Shi Tuo’s original intention of creating The Orchard Town.
