蒋光慈的长篇小说《田野的风》在中国现代文学史上影响深远。王星北编文、宋治平绘图的连环画《田野的风》对小说进行了改编,它围绕农民和豪绅地主之间的矛盾斗争展开叙述,通过提炼压缩情节、简化和俗化脚本语言和对话语言、以线描手法勾勒斗争场景以及强化图像明暗对比等方式,图文并茂地阐释了小说,并通过多次再版,扩大了小说的影响。但由于受艺术表现形式和时代背景等因素影响,连环画改编忽略了小说中的心理表现、情爱书写和环境描写等,也留下了不少遗憾。

Jiang Guangci’s novel The Wind in the Field has a far-reaching influence in the history of modern Chinese literature.The serial pictures The Wind in the Field,edited by Wang Xingbei and drawn by Song Zhiping,is an adaptation of the novel.It revolves around the contradictory struggle between peasants and gentry landlords.The novel is explained in both pictures and texts,through refining and condensing the plot,simplifying and vulgarizing scripting language and dialogue language,and using line drawing techniques to outline the struggle scenes and strengthen the contrast of light and dark in the image.The influence of the novel has been expanded through being reprinted.However,due to factors such as the form of artistic expression and the background of the times,the serial pictures adaptation ignored the psychological expression,love writing,and environmental description in the novel,and left many regrets.
